Proposed Community Plan Amendment - Meritage Homes

The applicant is requesting an amendment to the Scripps Miramar Ranch Community Plan to redesignate a 6.91-acre site located at Meanley Drive from Industrial Park land use to High-Medium Residential (15-29 du/ac), a General Plan amendment to redesignate the site from Industrial Employment to Residential and a corresponding rezone. The current land use designation does not allow homes to be developed, while the proposed land use designations would allow a range between 100 and 204 multifamily homes, which would be consistent with the maximum permitted base density under the RM-2-5 zoning designation.  This project has been initiated by the Planning Commission - There have been No Project Approvals.
